Survival trophies

When you go to a hospital for a stay, to spend some good romantic days with your doctors, they give you a room, if you are lucky with nice views. But the most important thing, they give you a bracelet with your personal information. That bracelet has all the information the physicians needs in case the patient is not able to give them directly. They use to have the patient name, history number, and sometimes some advanced tools such us qr or bar codes. Is a way to have all the bodies identified and probably more important things. You are forced to wear this bracelet until you are discharged from the hospital. And when you are discharged they remove the bracelet from your hand which means that you are recovered and you can finally leave.

This bracelet was my trophy after each surgery or long visit to hospitals, which I was able to collect some of them but not many. And I was happy to have them, because it means that everything went perfectly. In total I will have around 10 bracelets. I thought it would be funny to keep them to show to my friends how many times I survived a hospital stay or I do not know, just for myself.

So… which is the problem? now with the Immunotherapy I got one of the each time I go to the hospital to receive a dose. In 3 months I was able to collect more trophies than in 5 years. This means, that keeping this bracelet has become an uninteresting thing for me. Now I have the old bracelets which kind of do mean something, and other new ones that I am not keeping, since they mean nothing.

Resuming, what at the beginning was a trophy for me, now is a nonsense paper.
